Also - really hooked on Depeche Mode's album "Music for the Masses" right now, alongside the most recent Antediluvian output, "Logos" and Aosoth's new opus "IV - Arrow in Heart".  Contrast, motherfuckers.
Ok, so my first real music related post on here, well, regarding my own music anyway.

The stuff I am involved with as a drummer:

SERVITOR  - Ritualistic black/death metal. Praise Holy Death.
SYMPTOM - Crushing death/doom metal masterminded by Jt Gilmore from Portland's SHROUD OF THE HERETIC. I will be on all new releases, old stuff was with programmed drums. Currently working on an EP.
Møllehøj -raw black metal alongside J. Christensen (Sadhaka, Megaton Leviathan), I will be on the forthcoming full length. European tour in the early planning stages.
CALOCAERUS
VOID MANIFEST - Filthy death metal desecration alongside J. Friday from Portland's own Ritual Necromancy.

Everything else:
Omens - gloomy post-punk/goth - debut EP "Forgetting How to Fall" out soon on Murder/Suicide Incidents COCTEAU TWINS CULT ETERNAL.

NOCTIS - formed in 2005, this project, in all its incarnations, has been more or less my life's work up until this point, and is currently on hold until ideas gestate, and the call to once again manifest this beast is heard.

Most projects can be listened to here.

Excerpts from "Awakening".

I have begun an ambitious multi-media project centered around a sci-fi horror novel entitled "Awakening". The completed project will include a dark ambient soundtrack, with one track per chapter, each intended to be played on repeat while reading. It will also include a 2 track demo from the fictional band "Excavation", a death metal group (SF Bay area, early 90's) in which the main character's grandfather played drums. The timeline for this project is pretty much open-ended at this point, since this is a huge undertaking, but I will posting updates here as progress is made. For now I give you an early draft of the opening scene:

Atonal Music Explained in a nutshell

Some of this, I will admit is a little bit over my head, but these are concepts which I want to incorporate into a black/death/doom metal context.
